Looking for information on the 2025 Northern Territory Local Government Elections? The AEC manages the electoral roll and can help you enrol or update your details. Updates to your enrolment are required before the 2025 Northern Territory Local Government Elections close of rolls cut off at 5pm (ACST) on Tuesday 22 July 2025.
For all other election information, please contact the Northern Territory Electoral Commission (NTEC) who conduct local government and Legislative Assembly elections in the Northern Territory.
It is compulsory by law for all eligible Australian citizens to enrol and vote.
If you are 16 or 17 you can enrol now so when you turn 18 you'll be able to vote.

Completing this enrolment form enables you to participate in federal elections, by-elections and referendums, and any relevant state, territory, or local government elections. The AEC only runs federal events.
