For the purposes of this Report, each Division is described by its component Local Government Areas (LGA). Each LGA comprises a number of Census Collection Districts as devised by the Australian Bureau of Statistics for the 1996 Census.
If a LGA is recorded without qualification, then the entire LGA is located completely within the Division.
If a LGA is recorded with only the word '(part)', then that part of the LGA contained in a particular Division is wholly retained in, or transferred to, a Division, as the case may be.
A LGA recorded as '(part .)' with one or more descriptive features, refers to an already divided LGA which is divided at a different location (as described) in a Division. Click here for an example.
