Redistribution quota – Western Australian federal redistribution

Updated: 18 March 2024

In accordance with section 65 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, on 11 August 2023 the Electoral Commissioner determined the redistribution quota for the purposes of the redistribution of Western Australia to be 113,508.

The determination of the redistribution quota for the redistribution of Western Australia was based on enrolment numbers as at Wednesday 9 August 2023, which is the date the redistribution commenced.

The quota was calculated by dividing the number of electors on the electoral roll in Western Australia on the day the redistribution commenced by the number of members to which Western Australia is entitled.
