Name Derivation:
Named in honour of the Rt Hon. John Malcom Fraser AC CH, 1930–2015. Fraser was Prime Minister of Australia (1975–83) and a Member of the House of Representatives (1955–83).

The Division of Fraser consists of:

  • part of the Brimbank City Council, and
  • part of the Maribyrnong City Council.
Products/Industries of the Area:
Manufacturing, wholesale trade, construction, transport and warehousing, retail trade, health care and education. Major industrial areas are located in the eastern and southern parts of the division.
Demographic Rating:
Outer Metropolitan – situated in capital cities and containing large areas of recent suburban expansion.
