Declaration events
An official declaration of results is a public event that provides notification of a candidate elected to the House of Representatives or Senate. While members of the media, public or electoral analysts may predict the outcome of a contest, the AEC’s official declaration can only occur once the legislative test for declaring a result has been met.
All results declarations are public events.
