Tasmanian redistribution
Due to the proposal to rename the reconfigured electorate of Franklin to Tongerlongeter, the augmented Electoral Commission considers its proposed redistribution to be significantly different from the Redistribution Committee's proposal. The augmented Electoral Commission therefore invites further written submissions.
Submissions must be received by the Electoral Commission by 11:59pm AEST Tuesday 21 July 2026 to allow them to be considered.

Submissions lodged by post are unlikely to arrive within the 7-day (legislated) period. Please contact the AEC directly if you require in-person lodgement.
All written submissions received by the lodgement deadline will be published to this page in late July, prior to the public consultation session being held.
Please note that while the names of persons and organisations that lodge written submissions will be published, signatures and personal details (including email and phone numbers) will be removed prior to any publication.
