Tasmania is required to undergo a redistribution as seven years have elapsed since the most recent redistribution was determined.

State electoral boundaries cannot be considered by Tasmania’s federal Redistribution Committee.

Round 2 – Ideas on the proposed redistribution

The proposed redistribution of Tasmania’s federal electorates has been released. The public is invited to view the Redistribution Committee’s report and maps and submit written ideas on the proposed redistribution until Friday 27 March 2026.
