Tasmanian redistribution
Members of the public were invited to submit written ideas on the proposed redistribution of Tasmania’s federal electorates from Friday 27 February 2026.
It is recommended that people or organisations lodging a submission refer to the redistribution criteria used by the augmented Electoral Commission.
When submitting ideas regarding the electorate boundaries in the proposed redistribution, it is strongly recommended that members of the public consider the redistribution and projected enrolment quotas, as these form the two key elements that underpin the redistribution.
Submissions must be received by the Electoral Commission by 6 pm AEDT Friday 27 March 2026 to allow them to be considered.

Please note that while the names of person and organisations that lodge written submissions will be published, signatures and personal details (including email and phone numbers) will be removed prior to any publication.
