2012 HSU Elections

The ballots for the Victoria No 3 Branch and the NSW Branch have been finalised and the results have been sent to the Union. The postal ballot for Victoria No 1 Branch will close at 5pm on Wednesday 19 December 2012. The AEC has become aware of an anonymous letter which has been circulated to HSU members advising that voting is compulsory. The letter is misleading as voting is not compulsory for industrial elections and there is no fine for not voting. Voters are advised to read all election material carefully, and satisfy yourself that it is genuine.
