Media Release 2008: Date of determination of Western Australia federal redistribution

The augmented Electoral Commission for Western Australia announced the outcome of its deliberations on the boundaries and names for the 15 federal electoral divisions in Western Australia on 7 November 2008. Details of this announcement are available on the AEC's website at www.aec.gov.au.

The augmented Commission has advised that the final determination will now be gazetted on 18 December 2008.

The final redistribution report, setting out the augmented Electoral Commission's reasons for its decision and including the maps for Western Australia, will be tabled in Parliament as soon as possible following gazettal, and will then be publicly released.
