The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has launched an Election 2004 statistics web site on www.aec.gov.au containing House of Representative and Senate results at national, state, divisional and local polling place level.
The detailed analysis of Election 2004 results is provided in a user-friendly online format.
Designed to increase accessibility for a variety of users in both Australia and overseas, the site contains:
- more than 19 000 individual web pages
- over 500 individual download files to allow further results analysis
- more than 600 MB of information, which almost equates to a full CD ROM
In addition, the web site contains information about how the AEC conducted all aspects of the election, detailed in Behind the Scenes.
The release of the new site represents only one product in the range of Election 2004 results products and publications produced by the AEC since the last election.
Other products produced to date include:
- the Electoral Pocketbook
- the Election 2004 Results Wall Map
- Behind the Scenes: the 2004 election report and national results
- the National Electoral Divisional Profiles.
