Tasmanian redistribution

Tasmania is required to undergo a redistribution as seven years have elapsed since the most recent redistribution was determined.

State electoral boundaries cannot be considered by Tasmania’s federal Redistribution Committee.

Augmented Electoral Commission convenes

Public consultation has now concluded. The augmented Electoral Commission is expected to make an announcement on the redistribution of federal electorates in Tasmania in mid 2026.
