Redistribution quota for the Northern Territory

Updated: 18 March 2024

In accordance with section 65 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, on Tuesday 12 March 2024 the Electoral Commissioner determined the redistribution quota for the purposes of the redistribution of the Northern Territory to be 76,699.

The determination of the redistribution quota for the redistribution of the Northern Territory was based on enrolment numbers as at Thursday 22 February 2024, which is the date the redistribution commenced.

The quota was calculated by dividing the number of electors on the electoral roll in the Northern Territory on the day the redistribution commenced by the number of members to which the Northern Territory is entitled.
