Name Derivation: Named after Angus McMillan (1810–1865), pioneer and explorer who made several trips into the Gippsland area of Victoria.
Area and Location Description:It covers an area of approximately 5744 sq km from Pakenham in the west to Traralgon in the east and to Noojee in the north and Thorpdale in the south.
The main towns include Boolarra, Churchill, Darnum, Drouin, Erica, Moe, Morwell, Neerim South, Pakenham, Thorpdale, Trafalgar, Traralgon, Walhalla, Warragul, Yarragon and Yinnar.
Products/Industries of the area: Dairy farming, coal mining, power generation, paper manufacturing, fruit, forestry, potato growing, sawmilling and tourism.
