These Handbooks explain in detail those aspects of electoral law which relate directly to candidates and scrutineers. They are intended as information aids.

National Electoral Division Profiles

A consolidated set of maps and profiles of Australia's 148 electoral boundaries.

Electoral Atlas

A consolidated set of maps and profiles of Australia's 148 electoral boundaries including data from the 1991 census. A joint AEC/Parliamentary Research Service publication.

1995 Federal Electoral Boundaries map

Full-colour map showing the boundaries following the 1994 redistributions. These were the boundaries at the 1996 election and include changes to Queensland, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.

1996 Federal Election Results map

Colour coded map showing which party won which seat. Also contains the names of Members and Senators following the 1996 election.

1996 Election Statistics Series

Four printed volumes showing summary and division results. Detailed results, including polling place results are available on a CD-ROM which is only PC compatible.

Funding and Disclosure Handbooks for:

Political Parties: This Handbook is intended as a useful reference for party officers and others involved with the election funding and financial disclosure provisions of the CEA.

Candidates: This Handbook is intended as a useful reference for candidates and Senate groups on the election funding and financial disclosure provisions of the CEA.

Third Parties: This handbook is intended to assist persons having to complete disclosure returns for third parties.

(Third party is a term used to describe a person or organisation under an obligation to furnish a disclosure return because of indirect involvement in federal elections. Most typically this would involve making a political donation of placing an electoral advertisement.)

Broadcasters and Publishers: This is a guide for broadcasters and publishers required to submit returns under the disclosure provisions of the CEA.
