Enrol now for the 2018 Batman by-election

The by-election for the federal electoral Division of Batman will be held on Saturday 17 March 2018.

Australian Electoral Officer for Victoria, Steve Kennedy said people living in the Division of Batman must act now to ensure they are correctly enrolled.

“All Australian citizens aged 18 years and over living in the Division of Batman are required by law to enrol and vote in the by-election on Saturday 17 March 2018,” Mr Kennedy said.

You can enrol online or, if you’re already enrolled but have moved recently, you can update your enrolment details online. Alternatively, you can pick up an enrolment form at any AEC office or Australia Post oulet.

“Batman electors who won’t be able to make it to a polling place on by-election day may be eligible to cast an early vote from Tuesday 27 February 2018, either in person or via post,” Mr Kennedy said.

Postal vote applications can be submitted online.”

People who are unsure if they are living in the Division of Batman or if their enrolment details are up to date can check online, or call 13 23 26.

The AEC must have received your completed enrolment form before 8pm AEDT on Wednesday 14 February 2018 or you won’t be able to vote in the Batman by-election.

Seventeen year-old Australians who live in the Division of Batman and turn eighteen on or before Saturday 17 March 2018 can enrol now and vote in the Batman by-election.
