Don’t forget to vote in the Bennelong by-election on Saturday

Updated: 13 December 2017

This Saturday is election day for voters in the federal electoral Division of Bennelong.

Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales, Warwick Austin said it is compulsory for every voter enrolled in the Division of Bennelong to vote in the by-election.

“Bennelong voters will be able to vote on Saturday between 8am and 6pm at any one of the 35 polling places that will be open across the Division of Bennelong.” Mr Austin said.

The location of polling places can be found via the Bennelong by-election page or by calling 13 23 26. Polling place locations will also be advertised in the Northern District Times and The Weekly Times newspapers this Wednesday 13 December 2017.

Mr Austin urged all Bennelong voters to take care when filling out their ballot paper to ensure their vote can be counted.

“Bennelong voters need to make sure every box is numbered from 1 to 12 in the order of your choice.” Mr Austin said.

For Bennelong voters who can’t make it to a polling place on Saturday, early voting is still available up until 6pm this Friday at early voting centres. A list of early voting locations is available via the Bennelong by-election page.

Visit the Bennelong by-election page for more information or call 13 23 26.
