Updated: 1 December 2017

Tomorrow is election day for voters in the federal electoral Division of New England.

Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales, Warwick Austin said it is compulsory for every voter enrolled in the Division of New England to vote in the by-election.

“New England voters will be able to vote tomorrow between 8am and 6pm at any one of the 95 polling places that will be open across the Division of New England,” Mr Austin said.

The location of polling places for New England are available on the New England by-election page or by calling 13 23 26. Polling place locations were also advertised in the Tamworth City Times and Armidale Express newspapers on Wednesday.

Mr Austin urged all New England voters to take care when filling out their ballot paper to ensure their vote can be counted.

“New England voters need to make sure every box is numbered from 1 to 17 in the order of your choice.” Mr Austin said.

For New England voters who can’t make it to a polling place tomorrow, early voting is still available up until 6pm today. More information and a list of early voting locations for New England can be found on the New England by-election page on the AEC website or alternatively you can call 13 23 26.
