Missing votes inquiry continues in Perth next week

Mr Mick Keelty AO will be in Perth next week to examine the facts and circumstances regarding the missing Senate ballot papers that could not be checked or verified as part of the WA Senate election recount.

The specific terms of reference for Mr Keelty’s inquiry are to:

  1. Make findings on what factors may have contributed to the misplacing of the ballot papers.
  2. Recommend what changes could be made in the future to reduce the risk of similar incidents occurring in future elections.
  3. Recommend any other actions that might be regarded as necessary or prudent.

Mr Keelty will be available for interview/media comment on Monday 11 November.
