The percentage column expresses the type of vote as a percentage of the total votes. For example, the number of ordinary votes cast in Tasmania for the Senate was 267 801 which is 83.94% of the total 319 053 votes cast for Tasmanian Senators.
Votes are counted for Senate elections in several stages. In some cases, a fresh count will show that an earlier count was in error. As it is not possible at that stage to identify where the error was made, the adjustment column accounts for the discrepancy between the earlier count and the final total votes.
