Media Invitation: Declaration of candidates in the Gippsland by-election
The media, candidates, and members of the public are invited to attend the declaration of candidates who have nominated for the House of Representatives by-election in the Division of Gippsland.
The Divisional Returning Officer for Gippsland, Mr David Wakely, will officially declare the by-election candidates, and will then conduct the random draw for positions on the ballot paper for the Division of Gippsland.
The declaration and draw will take place at 12 noon on Friday 6 June 2008.
Nominations for the by-election must be received by the AEC by 12 noon on Thursday 5 June 2008.
