Media Release 2006: Deadline of Objection to NSW Federal Electoral Redistribution Proposal

The Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales, Mr David Farrell, today reminded all interested individuals and organisations that written objections to the proposed redistribution of New South Wales' Federal Electoral Boundaries must be lodged with the Redistribution Committee no later than 6.00pm next Friday 28 July 2006.
"The redrawing of the New South Wales federal electoral boundaries has been, and continues to be, a consultative process to ensure that each of New South Wales' electoral divisions has, as near as possible, the same number of electors," Mr Farrell said.
"The AEC provides a range of information regarding the redistribution process which may be obtained via the AEC website www.aec.gov.au or from the AEC's Sydney office on (02) 9375 6321," he said.
Mr Farrell said that individuals and organisations were welcome to lodge any objections to the proposed redistribution of New South Wales' Federal Electoral Divisions to the Redistribution Committee for New South Wales, no later than 6pm next Friday 28 July 2006.
Objections may be lodged in one of the following ways:
- in person to 4 th floor, Roden Cutler House, 24 Campbell Street, Haymarket NSW 2000; or
- by mail to PO Box 20014 World Square NSW 2002; or
- by facsimile to 02 9212 2208; or
- by email to nsw.redistribution@aec.gov.au
