Look out for the AEC leaflet on the Werriwa by-election

Important information on the Werriwa by-election will start arriving in 42,213 letterboxes in the division of Werriwa this week.

The Divisional Returning Officer for Werriwa, Ms Karen Houston said the leaflet provides information on:

* how to correctly fill out the ballot paper to make sure your vote is counted

* what to do if you are unable to vote on election day, Saturday 19 March

* where to vote at any one of the 39 polling places that will be open on election day.

“The leaflet also reminds electors that it is compulsory to vote in the Werriwa by-election. The maximum penalty for not voting is $50,” said Ms Houston.
