Media Release 2003: Deadline for objections to South Australian federal electoral redistribution proposal
5 September 2003
Interested individuals and organisations are reminded that written objections to the proposed redistribution of South Australia's federal electoral boundaries must be lodged with the Australian Electoral Commission by 6pm Friday, 3 October 2003.
The redrawing of South Australian federal electoral boundaries is a consultative process. The redistribution was made necessary when South Australia's entitlement to seats in the House of Representatives was reduced from 12 to 11.
Written objections can be hand delivered to the Australian Electoral Commission, at Level 9, 1 King William Street, Adelaide, or mailed to GPO Box 344, Adelaide SA 5001. All objections must be received by the Commission by 6pm on Friday, 3 October 2003.
