Eligible electors in the Division of Cunningham are urged to get a roll on, as they have only two working days to make sure they are correctly enrolled.

The Divisional Returning Officer for Cunningham, Mrs Ann Cass said the electoral roll closes for the Cunningham by-election at 8pm on Monday 23 September 2002.

"Now is the time for any eligible elector in the Division of Cunningham who hasn't yet enrolled to act and fill out an enrolment form," she said.

"People already enrolled but who have recently moved to or from the Division of Cunningham, can also update their details on the electoral roll by filling out an enrolment form."

Enrolment forms are available from any post office, AEC office or can be printed from the AEC website at www.aec.gov.au/cunningham.

"It may be too late now to post your enrolment form as it must be received by the AEC by 8pm, Monday 23 September 2002," Mrs Cass said.

"So to ensure your enrolment form is received in time, people should take it to, or fax it to the Cunningham divisional office."

The Cunningham divisional office will be open until 8pm on Monday 23 September 2002. It is located at 4^th Floor, Corporate Square, 43 Burelli Street, Wollongong and the fax number is (02) 4228 5475.

Mrs Cass said that if anyone wanted to check on their enrolment they could ring the AEC on 13 23 26.

"It is important that all eligible Cunningham electors are correctly enrolled so they can have their say on polling day on 19 October 2002," she said.

Anyone who lives in the Division of Cunningham and is an Australian citizen, 18 years or older is reminded that enrolment and voting is compulsory.
