Counting of votes for the Aston By-Election has concluded for the day.  A total of 2,990 postal votes were counted and the results at the close of counting are attached.

There are approximately 500 postal votes and 1,300 pre-poll votes remaining to be counted.  Checking and counting of votes will continue tomorrow and for the rest of the week.

The fresh count of all votes counted on polling night continues.  As a result, small adjustments to ordinary vote figures are being made.  So far, 18 of the 32 polling places have had their fresh count completed.
