Annual Disclosures by Political Parties, Associated Entities and Donors 1997/98

From 9.00 am on Monday, 1 February 1999, annual returns for the 1997 -1998 financial year lodged with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) by political parties, associated entities and donors to political parties will be available for public inspection.

The returns cover the financial transactions of all federally registered political parties and their associated entities. Donors to parties are also required to lodge annual returns provided their contributions total $1 500 or more.

The returns may be inspected during office hours at the AEC's Central Office at West Block, Queen Victoria Terrace, ACT, or at AEC Head Offices in all capital cities.

Note: disclosures following the federal election held on 3 October 1998 become available for public inspection on Monday, 22 March 1999. Similarly, disclosures for the Newcastle supplementary election will become available for public inspection on Monday, 10 May 1999.
