Media Release 1998: Election Results on the AEC's Web Site

Election results are available from the Australian Electoral Commission's website at http://election.aec.gov.au

This site contains both Divisional and polling place results for all electorates in Australia. A range of summary tables for House of Representatives and Senate is also available.

This site will be updated on a daily basis with fresh results available at 5pm. In addition, results for the ten closest seats will be updated at least every two hours between 9am and 6pm.

Technical modifications have been undertaken since polling day to ensure that the significant amount of data on this site is accessible to the large numbers of users who want to access the AEC's web site.
